Project Description

The resort's 20-story hotel offers 2,000 guest rooms, including 110 lavish suites; a 20,000-square-foot, full-service spa, salon and fitness center; indoor-outdoor pool; restaurants, sports bar and an exclusive rooftop lounge. The convention center spreads out over an eight-acre footprint and includes more than 470,000 square feet of flexible function space for meeting rooms and ballrooms, and an 180,000-square-foot exhibition hall with 17 dedicated loading docks. A 50,000-square-foot ballroom features a theatrical stage and an outdoor terrace overlooking the river. The hotel building surrounds Gaylord's signature atrium, which is 18 stories and 240 feet by 210 feet. A five-level, 247,700-square-foot precast parking structure provides space for 1,950 vehicles. The resort incorporates numerous sustainable design features such as high performance glass, daylighting controls, high-efficiency electrical chillers, variable speed cooling towers, cooling tower fans, heat recovery and ultra-low flow plumbing fixtures. Despite its immense size, the glass atrium, as well as the entire complex, complies with strict state energy codes.
