Panorama Foundation Mat Pour Breaks Records

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil and building construction company, today announced that two construction records were recently set by its subsidiary, Tutor Perini Building Corp., when 11,677 cy of concrete was poured (continuously for 23 hours) to construct the foundation of the 83-story Panorama Tower in Miami, Florida. The pour established a new record for the City of Miami, and the total size of the foundation – requiring 14,677 cy of concrete – established a new record for the largest foundation in the State of Florida.

Led by Tutor Perini Building Corp., the mat pour included the dedicated efforts of the City of Miami; Developer, Florida East Coast Realty; the design team led by Moshe Cosicher, AIA; Concrete Contractor, Baker Concrete Construction; Engineer, DeSimone Consulting Engineers; City of Miami Police Department; residents of the Brickell neighborhood; and the construction workers – without whom this record could not have been achieved.

When completed, the 83-story tower will be the largest residential tower in the East, south of New York City, and will include 821 luxury rental apartments; 208 hotel rooms; 100,000 sf of medically-oriented space; 50,000 sf of high-end retail space and a 2,000 car parking garage.
